Hand Building Workshop 24th May 2019 @ Greener House, Brunswick

from 145.00

At Greener House Brunswick

Hand-building is the best way to learn about clay and how it works as a medium. This single session is hands-on and is aimed at beginners who have always wanted to learn about the ceramic process. This workshop will focus on hand building, including how to attach pieces together (like handles or feet) and use techniques and tools that allow for a professional finish. You will get the opportunity to make 2-3 pieces.

All materials, tools and firing is included, just bring yourself in some clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty (an apron and an old towel might be a good idea). Work will be glazed and ready for collection from my studio in Thornbury approximately 4-6 weeks after the session.

Greener House Nursery is a retail plant nursery with two stores, one in Brunswick and another in Collingwood, Vic. They have a huge range of indoor plants, and a team of qualified horticulturalists at hand to help you find the perfect plant for your home.

The group lessons are small so that everyone gets the attention to learn at their own pace. The small group setting is a relaxed and enjoyable way to learn the basics of ceramics. Its also a great activity to do with a few of your friends!

May 24th, 6-8pm. Workshops run for 2 hours and will include a knock off drink.

Bring a friend and save $10 per ticket when you purchase two tickets

All care is taken with your work, but I cannot guarantee the outcome. While I endeavour to give you every opportunity to guide you to make your work, ceramics goes through many processes, many of which are out of my control. Buying a ticket to the workshops means that you understand these terms.
